Who we are

DeliverBy is a Shopify app that shows estimated delivery dates at checkout and lets merchants configure shipping rates. The app is operated by ampersandlane, based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”).

What data we collect

When you install DeliverBy, we collect and store:

Your Shopify shop domain and OAuth access token, which are required to interact with the Shopify API on your behalf.
The app configuration you create: product groups, shipping rates and rules, dispatch and delivery schedules, shipping zones, holiday days, and shop settings.
Product identifiers and titles from your store, so you can assign products to groups. This is synced from Shopify and does not include pricing, inventory, or order data.

We do not collect, store, or process any customer or buyer personal data. DeliverBy operates at the checkout display and rate-calculation layer only — no names, addresses, email addresses, or payment details are transmitted to or stored by us.

How we use your data

We use this data only to:

Calculate and display estimated delivery dates at your checkout.
Apply your configured shipping rates, rules, and schedules.
Maintain your app settings between sessions.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. All data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS), and access is restricted through standard access controls.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall DeliverBy, your configuration is retained briefly so that reinstalling restores your setup. Shopify sends us a data-deletion request approximately 48 hours after uninstall, at which point all data associated with your shop is deleted. You can also contact us at support@ampersandlane.com to request deletion at any time.

Cookies and analytics

DeliverBy uses essential cookies required for the app to function within the Shopify admin. We use Google Analytics to understand how the app’s admin interface is used so we can improve it. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect usage information subject to Google’s privacy policy. App-level cookies within the Shopify admin are also governed by Shopify’s policies.

Third parties (sub-processors)

Shopify — the platform through which the app operates, subject to Shopify’s privacy policy.
Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure and database hosting.
Google Analytics — usage analytics for the app’s admin interface.

Your rights

If you are based in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact us at support@ampersandlane.com to exercise these rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Shopify Partner Dashboard or by email.
